All main female leads are plus size/ curvy.  Melanin is something I find delicious and mixing opposites is a favorite past time.

Fun fact: Almost every main characters' name and many of the non main characters' names are chosen for their meaning or the ancient deity whose characteristics they mirror. Similarly, cities, worlds and things along those nature are done by using the terms from other languages & cultures both in our current existence or from dead languages of our past. If you ever google a single name and learn about the deity, then I've fulfilled one of my purposes. There are lots of hidden factual details cloaked in the fiction, stories and pairings of the past intertwin with the fantasy of the journey. Also many details like strength of metals, how things are made, recipes; are usually derived from factual research. I'm a geek, it is what it is. Much of my weird research can actually be credited to the woman I refer to as Ishi. Since about 2020 she has been boggling my mind with her plethora of knowledge and broadening my psychological understanding of the universe in our rambling discussions. Jen (Ishi) has unintentionally contributed facts or ideas to over 20 novels through our lengthy discussions. 
 

The original Bloody Rose, as featured in Black Butterfly, was officially dissolved on August 23, 2022, putting an end to her existence. The backstory characters in that book are inspired by real acquaintances and may portray the roles they once played in regards to the original.  The Story, however, takes on a life of its own and deviates far from its beginnings.
