Abeona is a minor goddess still discovering herself, her powers and her purpose. When she stumbles into a war while doing her job of checking the ley-lines, she is launched into servitude for the kingdom as their champion. Tragedy strikes and she finds herself on the greatest journey of her life raising the next queen as she reigns until it's time to hand the crown over.

Bound to the crown for as long as she is alive, she struggles to handle the emotions from her decisions and Abeona drunkenly sentences someone to an eternity of pain, loneliness and misery. Disappearing into the night, Abeona sets off to discover who she is and what she really wants out of life while trying to stay hidden from the consequences of her actions. She no longer craves the adventure she once did or perhaps she does but differently. Abeona finds herself trapped and forced to create a new identity until she is strong enough to right the wrongs she has committed. Sleep soon becomes the only place she finds peace in the chaos that erupts. Unfortunately, plans don't always work out. It seems that both time and fate are working together to destroy what she has rebuilt and force her towards the directions she needs to go.
